Tyler V. Wauters is a practicing Clinical Herbalist and Ayurvedic Practitioner.  He is the co-founder of VHIIS, Director of the Clinical Herbalism and Ayurveda Program, and a practitioner at The Virtues of Healing Clinic.

Tyler was raised on a 40-acre nature preserve in Wisconsin, where his family owned and operated a small-scale fish farm and apple orchard.  With lush botanical gardens and wild flowers abounding, he began his life as an avid gardener and naturalist.  He holds years of experience operating and maintaining educational gardens around the United States.  This includes 3 years of maintaining the Herb Pharm’s 2-acre Education Garden in Southern Oregon.  Tyler has had the opportunity to grow over 500 medicinal plant species and believes that having a personal relationship with plants is key to understanding their medicine.  Tyler has devoted his life to the study of Herbalism and Ayurveda, and has been teaching community workshops around the United States since 2007.
